The sun rises over Tynemouth beach after snowfall. The cold snap continued across Britain this week and with it came travel chaos. Temperatures plummeted in eastern areas to -7C and the chilly weather will continue next week Rescue workers continued to look for survivors of typhoon Bopha, which has killed over 400 people so far and left as many missing. 50,000 had to flee from affected villages. Bopha triggered landslides and floods along the coast. Towns and villages have been destroyed and mass burial of the dead has already begun.
